Cardio! Some people hear the word and dread it.
At Breakthrough Fitness, we are here to help make cardio something that is sustainable and something that you can manage.
We recommend two days a week of strength training, which then allows plenty of other days of the week to work on different areas of fitness.
If you're not doing any cardio, we have three tips for you.
Schedule one to two high-intensity interval cardio training sessions a week to improve your cardiovascular health. This can be as short as 20 to 30-minute sessions, something really quick that elevates your heart rate, then brings it down, up, down.
Incorporate daily movement into your routine.
Schedule walks.
Park farther away.
Go for a bike ride with a friend.
Just incorporate gentle movement into your daily routine.
3. Keep it simple. If you overcomplicate your cardio routine, you're never going to stick with it.
If you need help incorporating cardio and strength training, schedule a complimentary discovery session today, and we'll help you out.
