Lunge Like a Pro: Simple Form Fixes That Work

We often see common mistakes when it comes to lunging, such as having too narrow of a stance, leaning forward during the movement, or failing to push through the heel of the front foot.

To correct these mistakes, ensure that you take a sufficiently long step forward while keeping your feet about shoulder-width apart. When you lower your back knee to the floor, you should have approximately a 90° bend in both legs.

As you push back up, focus on pushing through the heel of your front foot as well as the toe of your back foot.

Finally, maintain a tall upper body by engaging your abs and glutes while keeping proper posture. This is how to execute a proper lunge.
